Fernando Cininni

Mr. Cininni joined Cordiant in 2002. He combines an in depth understanding of North American corporate debt markets with experience in Emerging Markets that stretches over twenty years.

Prior to Cordiant, Mr. Cininni had a long career of increasing responsibilities with the Bank of Montreal, where he managed over USD 1.5 billion in Emerging Markets debt and syndicated over USD 1 billion in corporate credits. In Latin America, he managed corporate accounts, restructured sovereign debt, served at the board of a large Latin American fund and also completed a two year stint with the bank’s subsidiary in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. He also had exposure to Eastern Europe, restructuring Poland’s foreign debt, among others. His domestic experience involved syndicating corporate loans, mergers and acquisitions and project finance. He brings substantial expertise in corporate credit assessment, in general, and capital markets, as it pertains to Emerging Markets, in particular, in sectors ranging from banking, telecommunications, oil & gas, power and manufacturing.

Mr. Cininni has an MBA and B.Sc (Geology) from McGill University. He is fluent in English, French, Portuguese and Italian and has a working knowledge of Spanish.
